Description
Monthly meeting for the membership to discuss all Working Group business:
- Plan an event with members of the ag community to have dialogue about forest stewardship
- Continue planning pre-fire forest stewardship field trips
- Save the date: Saturday September 25, 10am-2pm, for a tour of Jenner Headlands Preserve’s shaded fuel break project, hosted by Brook Edwards, The Wildland Conservancy (more info)
- Plan a “brown bag” presentation on vegetation stewardship in riparian forests, particularly related to wildfire
Special presentation: We will watch “Ecological Principles and Practices for Fire Fuels Management,” a presentation from Sonoma Ecology Center (we will watch sections of this recording) followed by group discussion after 12pm for those who are interested.

Special speaker presentation begins at hour 1:44:00. Special speaker at this meeting is Fire Chief Marshall Turbeville, chief of the Geyserville-based Northern Sonoma County Fire District and also a Cal Fire battalion chief, presenting on the outlook for the 2021 Fire Season.
