Description: Join the Sonoma County Forest Conservation Working Group on an afternoon tour of Bear Flat Forest’s salvage logging operation in west Healdsburg. Bear Flat is a 416-acre family forest that burned in the 2020 Walbridge Fire. Owner and forester Fred Euphrat will discuss his recovery efforts including salvage logging, working with neighbors, replanting and other recovery activities. Bring a bag lunch for a meal in the woods, and bring your questions! We’ll learn a whole lot together. Note that the location is about a 20-minute drive west of of the town of Healdsburg.
