Napa Firewise: Valley Stewards Fund
Presenter: Joe Nordlinger, Napa Firewise CEO
Joe will discuss The Valley Stewards Initiative and Fund, a Napa Firewise effort designed to mitigate wildfire risks across Napa County and the five other counties in the Lake Napa Uniti (Sonoma, Lake, Yolo, Solano, Calusa and Napa). The Initiative addresses critical wildfire vulnerabilities, protecting lives, agricultural lands, and natural ecosystems by creating hundreds of Enhanced Resilience Sites (ERS) over the next decade. Joe will also discuss how participation can improve wildfire containment, and insurance coverage and rates for landowners while democratizing access for landowners who have limited financial means.
