Funding Resources

Find Funding To Support Your Work

Local, state and federal programs provide funding assistance for forest stewardship plans and practices. If you’re interested in funding assistance, we recommend you start by contacting your local resource conservation district. The RCD can evaluate your specific needs and connect you to the right program. There are also many free services to help you better understand, plan and implement a stewardship project. See the Landowner Stewardship Directory.

USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service

USDA’s NRCS provides financial and technical assistance through its Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) to agricultural producers to address natural resource concerns and deliver environmental benefits such as improved water and air quality, conserved ground and surface water, increased soil health and reduced soil erosion and sedimentation, improved or created wildlife habitat, and mitigation against increasing weather volatility.
